You won't believe 21 savage is an ifa worshiper

Many people today identify with either the Christian or Muslim faith and are followers of Jesus or Mohammed's teachings. Other smaller religions are often considered to be inferior to these 2 religions. However, there are many people who do not feel connected to these religions and usually turn to smaller religions that have connections to their roots.
One such person is the Grammy Award Winning US rapper who goes by the name of Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph and is known as 21 Savage. 21 Savage was born to Heather Carmillia Joseph and Kevin Cornelius Emmons in London, England. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother when he was seven after she broke up with his dad. He has two twin sisters who continue to live and work in the UK with their dad who works for their community's city council. His mum remarried in the US and had a son who unfortunately died in a shooting after a failed drug deal. Savage had many issues as a teenager as he was heavily involved with the criminal underworld. When he was a 7th grader, he was caught with a gun and was banned from attending any school in his community. He later had to continue schooling at a faraway community because of the ban. He eventually drooped out of school because he felt 'excluded' from some things. After dropping out of school, he became a full-time criminal, joined a deadly street gang, and started selling hard drugs. He was also involved in many crimes including robbery. He was involved in a robbery incident in which he was shot 6 times on his 21st birthday by a gang member from another gang. This deadly incident must have made him reconsider his criminal life and move on to a better life. Sometime after the incident, he started going to studios where he began his career as a rapper. He released a couple of songs but one of his best was the Savage Mode EP which reached no. 23 on the Billboard 200. His song, 'A lot' which featured J cole was the one that finally made him become a Grammy Award-winning rapper. 21 savage has collaborated with many great artists and has achieved great success in his music career. He is also a philanthropist who donates lots of money to different causes. 21 Savage does not identify as a Christian or a Muslim like many people in the world today, but he identifies as a worshipper of the Ifa religion together with his mother. The Ifa religion and some other indigenous African religions are beginning to become more appreciated in the US. Many African Americans who do not feel connected to their environment often identify with other African religions which they believe can link them to their roots.
Most of the people who practice the religion are women who became appointed as Oloris to Orisas and deities. A US report on religion has also reported that more Africans in the diaspora are beginning to subscribe to the native traditions which were practiced many years in Africa before Christianity or Islam came in. 21 Savage was interviewed about his shooting and that was where he referred to his religion. In the interview, he stated that when he was in the hospital, he used to say that he is spiritual, he is an Ifa worshipper and his religion is Ifa which is a Nigerian religion.
21 Savage is still making a lot of waves in the rap industry and his career seems to be on the path of success. What are your thoughts on this? Share opinion with me in the comments section below.
